Get Involved
Do something to support a good cause whether donating money; fundraising; volunteering time; talking to friends and family about the work of our charity or getting your employer be a Corporate sponsor.
The UK Commission on Bereavement “Bereavement is everyone's business”2022 summary report findings found over 40% of those who wanted formal bereavement support did not get any. If you can make a regular donation your monthly gift will give someone the support they need and lets us know how much income we will have in the future to commit to reaching those who need our help.
So how can you or your employer get involved?
-
Make a one off or regular donation via the Centres Local Giving page. Can you help us, no matter how small your donation will go towards maintaining the continuity of the specialist bereavement support services the DIBC delivers to the community of Newham and its neighbouring boroughs.
-
From baking a cake to running a marathon, there’s a way for everyone to fundraise — depending on how adventurous you're feeling!
-
If you have time to spare, there are many different opportunities to get involved as a volunteer, from helping out at an event to something longer term. Share your skills with us or get to learn something new about yourself by helping others.

Why not nominate The Drop-In Bereavement Centre as your “Charity of the Year” It is a great way for all employees to get involved, have fun together, whilst possibly making them more aware and comfortable dealing with bereavement issues.
